Gong Xi Fa Cai!

An old lady walked out of her apartment and saw three old men with white long beard sitting in the courtyard. She did not know them, but said, “I do not know you, but I believe you are hungry. Please come in for some snack.”
“Is your husband at home?" the old men asked.
“No” the old lady replied, “He has gone out.“
“In that case, we should not go in.” the old men answered.

When the husband came home that evening, the old lady told him the incident. "Go and tell them that I’m back, and invite them into our house."
The old lady invited the three old men into the house.
“We cannot go in together.” the old men answered.
“Why?" the old lady was puzzled.

One of the old men pointed at one of his friends and explained ”His name is Fortune.”
He then pointed at another friend and said “He is Success and my name is Love.”
He further elaborated “Go in and discuss with your husband and decide whom do you wish to invite.”
The old lady relayed her conversation with the old men to her husband.

Her husband was delighted. “Oh I see, let’s invite Fortune to our house!"
The old lady disagreed, and said “Dear, why not invite Success instead?”
Their daughter-in-law overheard their conversation and suggested “Wouldn’t it be better if we invite Love?”
The husband agreed and said to his wife ”Let’s take up our daughter-in-law’s suggestion and invite Love.”

The old lady went to the courtyard and asked, “Which one of you is Love?”
Love stood up and walked into the house, Fortune and Success followed suit.
The old lady was surprised. She asked Fortune and Success, “I have only invited Love, why are you coming with us?”

The old men replied together “If you have invited either Fortune or Success, the rest will not follow. However, should you invite Love, no matter where Love is, Fortune and Success will follow. Whenever there is Love, there will be Fortune and Success.”
